Vermont Branch Recognition for Mission Based Programs

The new branch recognition program was established at the winter 2006 board meeting. Three branches that had held an event or worked on a project that is related to the mission of AAUW or the AAUW Public Policy Priorities were recognized at the AAUW Convention in Bennington on May 6, 2006:

Bennington Branch       The Eureka Project: Helping Girls Experience the Triumph of Discovery
Brattleboro Branch        Pay Equity Forum: The New Vermont Pay Equity Law
Middlebury BranchSister-to-Sister Summit at Middlebury College

A member from each of these branches will make up our selection committee for 2007

The procedure and schedule for 2007 is as follows:

1. Branches submit the brief branch recognition form (download below) to the committee by April 1,
2007. Please email the application as an attachment.  Committee members are
Joan Allen    Kim Raine     Judy Murphy      Marty Fenn

2. The committee notifies the branch contact by April 12 whether or not the branch will be recognized.

3. Branches are encouraged to assemble an information sheet and an optional display related to
the event or project to share at the state convention. Projects that can be replicated by another
branch are of particular interest and a "how to" sheet would be very helpful.

Questions? Please contact one of the committee members.

Please download the form to your
computer and fill it in. It is in Word
format and lines will be added as
you type. Email to committee
members by April 1.
