"Education as the Gateway to Women's Economic Security"
Judy Murphy thanks
Dot Rand for serving
as state president for
four years.
Jennifer Kern presents
a gift from all of us
to Dot Rand.                 >>
Kathy Corrao presents the slate of officers for election. (We almost forgot to elect them.)
Professor Chyi-lye Liang from UVM informed and entertained us with her speech about the discrimination she faced in Taiwan and her research on women farmers. She has received a publication grant from the AAUW Educational Foundation.
Cynthia Browning presented
an economics lesson. She explained that the investments
of a teen age girl in herself as an
enterprise are not that different
from investments in an Italian bakery.                                       >>
Dr. Monica Joslin, Dean of Academic Affairs at MCLA was one of three educators who concluded the program. The other panel members were Dr. Barbara Sirvis and Ms. Joyce Judy.
